WYANDOTTE CREEK GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY AGENCY
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR PROPOSED GROUNDWATER SUSTAINABILITY FEE ADOPTION
PUBLIC HEARING TO BE HELD THURSDAY, MAY 21ST AT 2 P.M.
OROVILLE CITY HALL, 1735 MONTGOMERY ST., OROVILLE, CA
The Wyandotte Creek Groundwater Sustainability Agency (WCGSA) will consider adopting a resolution to establish a groundwater sustainability fee to fund local sustainable groundwater management pursuant to the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA). The SGMA Fee resolution will be considerered by the WCGSA Board during a public hearing on Thursday, May 21st at 2 p.m. at Oroville City Hall, 1735 Montgomery St., Oroville, CA.
The public is encouraged to participate in the public hearing and provide comments either in person at the public hearing or submit via email prior to the public hearing to Wyandottegsa@gmail.com.
The Fee Study Report that supports the SGMA Fee, including the fee methodology and proposed fee amounts, may be accessed on the website at www.wyandottecreekgsa.org/2026-fee-study.
Hard copies of the Fee Study Report are available for review at Oroville City Hall, 1735 Montgomery St., Oroville, CA and the Butte County, Water & Resource Conservation office at 196 Memorial Way in Chico, CA.
If adopted, the SGMA Fee will be collected by the Butte County Treasurer-Tax Collector beginning with the 2026-2027 property tax roll. Properties that do not receive a tax bill will be invoiced directly by the Wyandotte Creek GSA.
